Lil Wayne & Lil Twist

It’s no secret that Lil Wayne has a new mixtape “No Ceilings” on the way (dropping on Halloween according to Mack Maine). However since the announcement, online buzz has been building steadily and people have been saying this could be the next Drought 3.

With all this being said; not much is known about the upcoming mixtape except apparently Wayne has gone in over “Swag Surfin” and that he does not use auto-tune on the new mixtape.

Recently we spoke to Young Money artist Lil Twist and Lil Wayne’s engineer KY Finis about the mixtape and they shared a little bit of information. When asked if the tracks on the new mixtape would be remixes to current beats like Wayne did for Drought 3; Twist said, “I believe they are all remixes to other artists tracks.” Twist wouldn’t exactly tell us what tracks where on the tape but hinted at something when he said “All I will say is shout out to Gucci Mane, Mario, etc.” In terms of features we know there are none however Twist said this about the involvement of Young Money “We are always involved in our brothers project even if we are not, if you get what I mean by that. Young Mula Baby!”

When speaking with KY about the upcoming mixtape he informed us that Wayne had indeed gone in over “Swag Surfin” and he also said Wayne did “Wasted” by Gucci Mane. Lastly he told us that everyone will be happy with the new mixtape because he killed everything.

Drake – The Winner X Something X Do It Now

Lil Wayne protégé “Drizzy” Drake recently spoke to MTV about his upcoming album “Thank Me Later” .Drake has taken full advantage of the buzz he’s gotten off of his So Far Gone mixtape, touring for both legs of the I AM MUSIC tour with Lil Wayne and writing songs for stars like Rihanna. In terms of features and help on the new album, Drizzy hopes Kanye West will be a part of it, along with Lil Wayne and, hopefully, Jay-Z.

“Everybody is looking for this one joint with me and Jay, so that needs to happen,” Drake said. “My goal at this point is to keep making that organic music. I don’t wanna feel pressure now that I have a single and music that’s hot,” he added. “I don’t wanna be pressured … that, ‘Oh I have to have radio hits.’ I just wanna make music people enjoy.”

As Drake continues to impress fans and peers, he says that one guy he looks to for advice is none other than the head of his Young Money group, Lil Wayne. Both rappers are incredibly talented and work very well together, Drake has spoken about how they both have two very different styles of writing however they can still bounce ideas off each other and make great music.

“Wayne is another one that — rap-wise, verse-wise — was my favorite,” he said. “And to be under his wing, to be able to interact with him on a daily basis and talk to him and get information from him — I’m in a blessed position. I have the greatest mentors, the greatest teachers in the world. They all have gradually started to embrace me more and more, so it’s a great feeling.”
