Last Week, Lloyd stopped through Hot 93.7 in Hartford, CT and opened up to radio personality Jenny Boom about the possibility of a new record deal with Lil Wayne’s Young Money. When asked if he was going to sign to Young Money, Lloyd said… “I think that’s the question on everybody’s mind… including mine”.

He went on to say, “I wasn’t offered a deal. If anything, I think about it because I’m a big fan of their work, and we’re all good friends. We worked a lot in the past, broke bread together. And I think a lot of the fans probably want to see that.”

A very open Lloyd, also answered questions about The Inc., and cleared the air regarding his Ciara comments. He also discussed recent collaborations and gave details about his upcoming EP project titled Like Me releasing this year.

Lil Wayne To Plead Guilty For 8 Months In Jail

The rapper is expected to accept an 8-month bid in jail over his alleged involvement with a loaded .40-caliber pistol gun found on his tour bus in 2007 while in New York.

The 27-year-old now faces 15 years in jail for each count of criminal weapons possession and criminal possession of a loaded weapon.

“Wayne is going to plead guilty,” a source close to the case AllHipHop.com, stressing that this was definitely going to happen. The rapper pleaded not guilty at press time and has yet to make any such public declaration. “The date is coming up and he’s going to do it tomorrow.”

Wayne is rumored to be willing to accept the deal to avoid a long term in jail over the gun. The same source said the jail time will begin in February of 2010 under the terms of the deal. “If he doesn’t plead, he goes to jail for a long time,” the source said.

“They told him that if he doesn’t plead tomorrow, it will go to trial and then he faces a far longer jail term,” the source continued.

A small amount of DNA may have changed the landscape of the case, according to a report by the Associated Press. There is a “minuscule” amount of the rapper’s DNA on the gun, reports say, and that has strengthened the case for the prosecution.

Another hearing is set to resume tomorrow, where the rapper will reportedly announce his next move.

Lil Wayne has another trial looming in March over felony drug and weapons charges from a January 2008 police raid.

Lil Wayne Gives Away His Bling?

When it comes to the stuntin, there were few in the game who could fuck with Weezy and his jewel game. Chain after chain, ring after ring, and multi colored braclet after bracelet, Wayne got his shine on. Recently though he has taken a more subtle approach and wore only a small silver rosary chain, if anything at all. So what happned to all the jewels and why did he stop wearing them?

I am hearing like most things, Wayne grew out of all that and stopped wearing jewels naturally by his own decision. However what he did with all those baubles is something I never would of expected. Apparently Wayne gave away most of his jewelry to friends, staff, and artists on his Young Money Ent. label.  These are not just loans either but straight up gifts that he doesn’t want back. I am hearing Nicki Minaj in particular got hooked up with a solid diamond tennis braclet worth a little over a million.

I must say this is a good thing for Wayne  to do. Why let all that shit just sit in a safe when it could be put to good use, like helping those guys get pussy and having self confidence for the day. All I wanna know is can I get hooked up with something?

Drake Won’t Work With Birdman?

Although it is now official that Drake is Young Money/Cash Money owned and not just affiliated, some things are still coming out that all is not right. Although Drake and Weezy love making songs together and Drake says he will continue to work with Wayne for the rest of his career, I am hearing that offer is not good for the rest of Cash Money, most namely Baby a.k.a. The Birdman.

Word is that Baby has requested several times for Drake to come and work with him and possibly do some writing for his upcoming album. However all those requests have been flat out denied and I am now finding out why. My intel tells me that Drake just doesn’t respect Birdman as a real artist and also doesn’t trust him to give him the proper credit should he do any writing for him. This worry is only fueled by the fact that EVERYONE who has ever done business with Cash Money in any way, besides Wayne, has cried foul.

I don’t know what to say about this one. I mean Wayne seems loyal to Baby and if Drake is loyal to Wayne should he be loyal to Baby? Although I can see why Drake wouldn’t be rushing to do a song with Birdman, I mean he does suck as a rapper. Getting money, now that is his specialty. Either way I say let Drake focus on this album…and shoot another video for “Best I Ever Had”, quick!

Not too sure about this one but there are some rumors floating around that one of Lil Wayne’s cribs caught on fire and completely burned down this past Wednesday. From what I am hearing so far, his home in Houston, Texas caught fire in the afternoon hours of Wednesday and was totally destroyed.

Apparently nobody knew it was Wayne’s crib until one of the neighbors alerted a member of the local media that was there covering the fire and that is how the news spread. Like I said this is still unconfirmed to me so if you have any video of this or anything hit me up!

*Kanye West Voice* C’mon homey, WE MAJOR….WE MAJOR?? I know this post is probably going to ruffle a few feathers, but hey, the wait is driving A LOT of us insane so I might as well let the cat out the bag. According to several sources on the left coast, Toronto native, and Hip-Hop’s second coming, Drake, who’s been used as tug toy between Atlantic Records, Universal Records, Interscope Records and Def Jam Records has allegedly inked a deal with Universal Records.

From my understanding, Drake was set to announce his new found Hip-Hop residence some time soon, but I guess word got out a little premature and landed directly in my lap. Now, the lil birdie who threw me this tidbit got the information straight from the label, so you can kill the “LowKey’s making up ish” commentary- ASAP. And if this doesn’t serve true, well someone up at Universal Records has a lot of explaining to do.

Before this new sprinkle of information, Drake was reportedly being courted by not only Atlantic Records, but Def Jam and Interscope as well. It’s also being said that the Hip-Hop rookie turned down a hefty sized offering from Jimmy Iovine and Interscope Records which was reported to be worth about $2 Million.

Assuming the signing is valid, Drake can officially join his bosses’ Young Money conglomerate over at Universal Motown. Though details and numbers in regards to Drake’s signing haven’t been revealed just yet, I’m sure more batches of information will surface this weekend out in L.A., since there’s 92.6% Mr. Drizzy will be somewhere lurking around The Shrine Auditorium come Sunday, June 28.

The other day we were watching Lil Za live on u-stream and many people were asking him about the BET Awards and if Wayne was going to be there and performing. Lil Za unfortunately broke the bad news [not sure if its true yet] that Wayne will not only not be performing, but he will not even be there at all. Lil Za told viewers that Wayne would be out of the country doing a show. We looked for dates overseas but had a very hard time finding anything solid. We will keep you up to date on this rumor which we are hoping turns out to be false, however we do know Lil Twist and Drake will indeed be there at the show and walk the red carpet together [@liltwist twittered this].
