Lil Wayne is a Jamaican now?

Recently a video has hit the internet that Lil Wayne released for a new song featuring Sizzla and T-Streets titled “The Only Reason”. Now, we all know that Lil Wayne has been doing some different things with his music lately and has switched from straight spitting on a track to doing some singing, and using the vocal effects that you hear T-Pain use, but this track is a far-left version of his creativity.

I’m not sure if Lil Wayne has been smoking too much weed as of late (he even says in the track “We’re smoking so much that we can’t breathe) but he’s now apparently a Jamaican. With the track’s instrumental sounding really good, and Lil Wayne securing a legend like Sizzla for the track, you would think that the song would be highly praised, but a lot of recent backlash has been circulating lately on youtube, defsounds, and various other hiphop websites. A lot of people feel that the credibility is at a ZERO level for Lil Wayne to be rapping like he’s Jamaican, but personally, I think the track sounds great. The video also looks really good.

I doubt Lil Wayne would be releasing this track as a single but it does keep his name in peoples mouths which is all the greatest publicity for any artist. Below you can see the video to the track. Rumor has it that Wayne has plans of tying the knot with actress Lauren London. Sources claim that Wayne has proposed to London, a Los Angeles native that has also been recently named a spokes model along with Cassie for Sean John for women. London is also famous for her roles in ATL (2006) and in “This Christmas” which has just recently hit theaters. Lauren also has had experience in the music industry, as she has appeared in numerous Pharrell videos including “Frontin” and “Drop It Like It’s Hot.” She also recorded lyrics on Pharrell’s album, “In My Mind.” London has been tied in the past to NBA star Baron Davis, and rappers T.I. and Pharrell before her reported engagement to the self proclaimed “Best Rapper Alive.” In a recent interview with Complex magazine, it is said that Wayne bought the ring around the time of the BET Hip Hop Awards. The two have been rumored to be seen around New Orleans , and we have photographic evidence of the two kickin’ it at a New Orleans Hornets game. The third wheel of the date is none other than Wayne’s Styrofoam cup.

The news of their engagement recently made print on the cover of Ozone magazine, a hip-hop publicist in which Wayne graces the cover of their “Sex Issue.” Lil Wayne’s relations with Lauren seems to put an end to the rapper’s run ins with Trina and Nivea. It would also dispel rumors of his involvement with Karrine “Superhead” Steffans, which Lil Wayne commented on in this issue. In his interview with Ozone magazine, Weezy claims that him and “SuperHead” are just friends, and he calls her “SuperBread” because of the profits she has made from her book “Confessions of a Video Vixen.”

Shocking New Lil Wayne News

So, if you’ve seen lately online, there have been some rumors that Lil Wayne will be recording an album with the High School Musical star, Zac Efron. The story was said that while Lil Wayne was in an interview, the High School Musical Star stepped out from a room at the Miami Mansion of Lil Wayne and gave Lil Wayne a kiss similar the the Lil Wayne/Baby kiss that shocked the internet.

The interview says that Lil Wayne will be remixing the High School Musical soundtrack and will be recording all of the songs with Zac Efron. Somehow, we didn’t believe the story was true so we did some digging into it to find out what the truth was so we could pass the information along for you to know the truth.

The writer of the article has issued a statement to Perez Hilton saying the following:

“I just wanted to clarify that the Zac Efron and Lil’ Wayne story is purely fictional and is simply intended as a joke (and a hysterical one at that).”

Now, the main reason behind the article was said to be “comedy” but we’re thinking it was more of a reason to get traffic to the reporters website and gain some press from it, which did happen as Perez Hilton, Vh1′s official blog and the New York Times magazine covered the story. Regardless, no matter what anyone tells you, this story is completely false.

Our personal opinion is that the guy who wrote this is a little crazy and slightly on the homosexual and is obsessed with all things gay. Even saying that Lil Wayne would collaborate with a high school musical star is a dumb idea, but now, the writer faces legal charges since the website never mentioned that the story was completely false.

Lil Wayne has lost his mind

Lil Wayne never surprises us anymore, and even with the recent great things hes said and done during the Pimp C tragedy, we find Lil Wayne in a recent interview with Ozone magazine giving some pretty off the wall comments. The self proclaimed rapper eater has stirred up a mixed set of emotions from his fans and critics with the following statement in the Ozone Magazine:

“We don’t play. No, I’m not gonna rap about you man, I will murder you, your family, your child, a newborn, I don’t give a fuck. I could never go to hell cause I’ma take over, bitch.” He retorted.

Now, if that isn’t enough, Lil Wayne goes on to talk about his tear drops, his mom and beef. With some people calling this the most socially irresponsible statements an artist has made in years, its funny to see that there are even more fans every day for Lil Wayne. Below is two more quick quotes from the interview. You can view the rest of the interview when the new edition of Ozone Magazine is released.

“If you are talking about rap and beef, I’m the wrong person to talk to. I am from New Orleans. Cut your televisions on. You know where I’m from. I’m from the murder capital, ma. Beef is a different thing there.” Proclaimed Lil Wayne.

“I have four teardrops on my face and I have to look my
mom in her eye every day. I can’t lie to her. Fuck what they think and fuck what the world thinks, we real. My mom is real. The first day I got a teardrop I lied. I called her and asked her can I get a teardrop tattoo, but I had already got it.” She said, “When you get it, come by me so I can see how you look with it, cause I was thinking about getting one my fuckin’ self.”

Quick update to all of our fans and followers:

For those of you who may not know. The Carter III will not debut this year. The album has been pushed back to early 2008. The new release date has not yet been announced but according to XXL Magazine and other credible sources the album is slated for a 2008 February release.

Lil Wayne speaks on Pimp C’s death

Lil Wayne recently stepped out of the booth in order to speak on the recent passing of Texas rapper and one half of UGK, Pimp C.

“Pimp C helped me be who I am to this day. He was a mentor–told me what he liked, what he didn’t like. Everything he said, I executed and the same goes for Bun B.” Said Lil Wayne in a recent radio interview with Port Arthur’s 97.9 The Box.

It’s great to see a rapper step up and speak out on this unlike some of the other rappers out there who haven’t said a word about it since it happened. Thats why Lil Wayne is the #1 rapper out there, because anything Lil Wayne does, he does from the heart. Here’s another snippet of the interview.

“I am their younger brother..and just so he [Bun B] knows and everybody else knows– I know there’ll never be another Pimp C but I know that UGK will never die, Bun if you need a partner blood, I am that!..My last name’s Carter, I’ll be Pimp C Forever” Wayne said in a somber tone.

Some people might take that as Lil Wayne stating that he’d step in Pimp C’s place and record an album with Bun B, but I doubt that’s what he meant when he said that he’ll be Pimp C forever. Either way, it’s still great to see some new Lil Wayne information popping up that doesn’t involve drama and hate.
