Lil Wayne’s Carter IV Delayed Until June 21

Mack Maine confirmed to XXL that Lil Wayne‘s Carter IV album has been delayed until June 21st.

Earlier this week, rumors hit the ’net that Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated album, Tha Carter IV, was pushed back from May 16 until June. XXLMag.com has learned exclusively, that the claims are indeed true.

Young Money president, Mack Maine, informed XXL that Weezy’s follow up to 2008’s multi-platinum selling Carter III LP will be hitting shelves on June 21. We also confirmed that the graduation photo of a pre-teenage Wayne, sporting his signature facial tattoos that leaked online earlier this week, as well, is the official cover art to the disc.

  25. I personally don’t see how everyone is “talking shit” on Wheezy. All that’s been said is that it’s bullshit that they pushed the date back. But the record companies do that for an issue. It’ll get talked about more, increase the demand for it, so when it finally DOES get released, they sell more albums. And to be completely honest, the album art really isn’t too great. That’s my two cents; Doesn’t make me a “hater.” I love Wayne.
