The elusive Eminem spoke to Skyrock Radio in Paris over the weekend and offered a tiny peek at what he has in store for his upcoming Recovery album.
While most of the interview consisted of Em cracking jokes with the French DJs, he did briefly touch on hooking up with the incarcerated Lil Wayne on “No Love,” as well as Pink on “Won’t Back Down” and Rihanna on “Love the Way You Lie.”
“I’ve always respected what Wayne does, and Lil Wayne, to me, is definitely one of the greatest in the game right now,” he said of Weezy, who is in the midst of a yearlong prison stretch on gun charges. “As far as the songs with Pink and Rihanna … when I did the song that I did with Pink, I laid my parts first and kind of heard her on the record and felt that she would smash this record. And the other one I did with Rihanna is one of those tracks that I felt like only she could pull it off, only she could do it.”
He also dropped the first hints about what the video for lead single “Not Afraid” might look like. Promising that it was coming soon (he mentioned “Saturday” but didn’t go into any other detail), Shady said, “The video is … kind of just … there’s a lot of things in it that are metaphorically speaking. There are things that are symbolic in the video. … The overall concept is basically being in a dark place and trying to get to the light.”
Among the topics he touched on were 50 Cent slimming down for his upcoming role in “Things Fall Apart,” in which he plays a cancer-stricken football player. “That’s crazy,” Shady said when talk turned to 50′s shocking weight loss. While trying to find out more French cuss words in order to hit on a comely lady named Marie in the studio, Slim Shady deferred to longtime manager Paul Rosenberg when pressed about why the rapper did not make France one of his three tour stops on his upcoming European swing.
The interview ended with Em expressing mystification over why people are so excited about soccer’s upcoming World Cup, a stance that might mean he’ll have some ‘splaining to do when he hits the stages in football-crazy Switzerland and the U.K. in July. “Is it politically incorrect if I said I didn’t like soccer?” he asked. “I’m not a big soccer fan.” – MTV
With Drake‘s album coming June 15, plus this Weezy feature plus Nicki Minaj’s album and the Carter 4 coming later this year, its an exciting time for Young Money Cash Money. I can’t wait to hear the hits that we will be seeing this summer and fall. Leave a comment below.

I doubt Wayne’s album will come out this year. He gets out Nov. 4th, its probably gonna get pushed out at least once. So I predict it will release Early 2011.
^^^^^Agreed, im not getting my hopes up
Wayne’s album isn’t coming out in 2010 and Drake’s album already leaked tonight.
i think Wayne’s album is gonna get pushed back 2 early next year but we might get the 1st single when he gets out in Nov. or at least a street single.
Hate to say, but looking at C3 and Rebirth I dont expect to see C4 till summer of 2011…I hope Im wrong.

hahahhah that Sicily comment had me laughing hella hard!!!
he said “gets words wrapped around hime like YOU do when I come through”
Its not a diss, just a reference
stolen from TR shady, but great post:
I think Em does in fact take shots at Weezy, but he’s very clever about it and not making it extremely obvious unless you take a closer look. It’s not straight dissing, it’s more like he’s showing him up.
Remember how before Wayne and Em were even on the same track, Wayne said in an interview that Em is “scared to work” with him. Which is the main reason why I think that Em does show Wayne up on his own tracks instead of going the usual dissing way.
But let’s get to the point.
First thing that made me suspicious:
Wayne on Forever: “I’m resting in the lead I need a pillow and a cover”
Em on Drop The World: “Sleep on me that pillow is where your head’ll lie”
Wayne say’s he’s in the lead aka on top of the game. We know Wayne likes to call himself the best rapper alive and Em is very well aware of this. Em says “sleep on me” which refers to the position (=lead/the top), and that he’s going to lyrically decapitate him.
Em on Not Afraid “You said you was king, you lied through your teeth
For that fuck your feelings, instead of getting crowned you’re getting capped”
Another shot which is clearly aimed at one person and not the usual “brag against everyone else”, because there can only be one king. Who said he was king? Resting in the lead? Best rapper alive? Wayne does. Em mentions the scenario again where Wayne’s getting decapitated in the fight for the lead, and not crowned (think pillow).
Now for the main part:
Em on Won’t Back Down: “Bitch am I the reason that your boyfriend stopped rapping
Does a bird chirp
Lil Wayne slurps syrup til he burps
And smokes purp, does a wordsearch, gets circles wrapped around him like you do when I come through”
First of all, Em doesn’t say “Does Lil Wayne slurp…”, he says “Lil Wayne slurps…” making it a full sentence and not a rhetorical question like you seem to think. Listen to the track closely, he cleary says “Lil Wayne” right after “chirps”, there’s no “Does” in between.
The first line obviously looks like it’s referring to Nick Cannon, but if you think about it twice, why would he keep dissing him after “The Warning”? Listen to it again, to me Em clearly drew a line with that track and Nick/Mariah haven’t dared to reply to him in any way so why should he keep going on about a battle that he has clearly won.
So in my opinion, the first line refers to Birdman, Wayne’s “boyfriend”, remember them kissing? Also, if it was referring to Cannon, why would he say “boyfriend” and not “husband”? Nick and Mariah are married.
Next line, does a bird chirp, obviously connected to Birdman and refering to the first line.
In the next line he says that Wayne is high on syrup/purp all the time and does a wordsearch (=searching for lyrics) while Em is wrapping/rapping circles around him without Wayne even noticing he’s being shat on. Basically Em says Wayne is having a hard time finding lyrics for his own verses on their collabs, while Em is dominating it, easily taking shots at him all around him (in circles) and Wayne doesn’t even notice.
Em on Drop The World: “I can run circles around you so fast your fucking head’ll spin dog”. Wayne is a coincidence. Overall if you take a closer look there are too many things that would be too coincidental if they weren’t meant to be aimed at Wayne.
Em does this, in my opinion, to show that he’s not afraid at all to collab with Wayne. In fact, he has the balls to diss him on their own tracks.
Why does Em say he likes Wayne’s work and think he’s good? So he can keep making collabs with him and show him up on them. He’s making everyone think that they are cool on the outside so he can keep shitting on him cleverly and subtle.
@weezle get a life
if you could read I said I got that from another site. LOL
