Lil Wayne’s “Rebirth” Album Gets New Release Date
Rebirth is being delayed yet again
We can’t say we didn’t see it coming. Lil Wayne’s Rebirth has suffered yet another setback.
The Cash Money rapper’s oft-delayed album will make the perfect stocking stuffer when it arrives on its new release date of December 15, Rap-Up.com has learned. It is now scheduled to drop 10 days prior to Christmas, during what are typically the busiest shopping weeks of the year.
Rebirth was previously slated for a November 24 release. Two tracks were commercially released from the project earlier this year, “Prom Queen” and “Hot Revolver.”
“Let me tell ya’ll, great art takes time and you’ll expect it and expect it and expect it again, but when it’s perfect, you guys will receive it,” Weezy’s “Prom Queen” collaborator Shanell told Rap-Up.com over the summer.
The long-awaited effort from “America’s Most Wanted” MC was originally due on April 7 and has experienced numerous pushbacks since then. Hopefully this will be the final delay for this album’s release. I’m guessing this means that the Young Money album is being delayed as well? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

The Rebirth is already done and finished, he isn’t releasing it because “the young money cd is comming out soon, and i want them to shine, i need them to shine right now.” Wayne wants YME to drop the hits before he does, that way everyone gets behind YME like we already are with Weezy…Rebirth is gonna be fire, remember he did this with Tha Carter 3, and you already know how that shit turned out!

yeah wayne knows what he’s doing.like he said before the carter 3. nelly told him the key to selling big records is to make them wait and hurt for the album. so he keeps giving us release dates to build anticipation. great marketing strategy. wouldnt be suprised if it came out next summer.
