Jay Sean Talks About Working With Lil Wayne & Cash Money [Video]
Jay Sean recently sat down with TRACE to talk about his upcoming album and life as an artist signed to Cash Money Records. His debut American album will include the hit single “Down,” which features Lil Wayne and has reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. The rest of the track list is still uncertain. Jay says “The album is finished recording, but it’s a hard process to for me to be able to knock songs off … and [say] ‘okay even though I love that song I don’t think I’m gonna put it on the album,’ so I’m still going through that.”
His own musical project aside, Jay enjoys being a member of the Cash Money family. The singer says the label will release multiple group tracks, including a “Cash Money Heroes” song that features Kevin Rudolph, Birdman, Lil Wayne and himself. He is also featured on Birdman’s latest single “Written on Her,” which has just been released to U.S. radio and has collaborated on another track with Wayne and Drake.
