Breaking: Lil Wayne Cancels Canada Concert Dates Due To Trouble At The Border

It looks like Canadian fans of Lil Wayne and Young Money will have to wait a bit longer to see him live, as his shows tonight and tomorrow have been canceled. In breaking news the concert which was scheduled for tonight at the GM Place cannot go on due to some problems with the performers. In a press release the concert promoter announced “The Lil Wayne show has been canceled due to circumstances beyond Live Nation’s control.”

However NewLilWayne.com has learned that there was some trouble at the Canadian border, and apparently one of the tour buses was not allowed through. We know Young Jeezy made it to the venue and insiders tell us that he was sitting in his bus just outside of the venue. We also know Nicki Minaj and Shanell’s bus made it through the border crossing check point, as earlier this evening they were both on their tour bus in Canada, broadcasting live to fans via UStream.

Different performers reacted differently to this wrench in the works. Below you can see Soulja Boy’s tweet, he says he might make a video since he won’t be performing tonight:

For our readers in Canada, it has been announced that ticket refunds will be available at the point of purchase. Tickets purchased through a credit card will be refunded automatically, according to Live Nation. Young Money‘s next show is scheduled for Thursday in Denver, Colorado, so it looks like they will have a relatively long break from the America’s Most Wanted Tour. We wonder if the bus that was stopped had Weezy F Baby on it? Let us know what you think down below in the comments.

Update: The members of Young Money have been tweeting that they are in Reno, Nevada tonight. Perhaps they will go to Las Vegas tomorrow?

  15. It was so lame, i travelled an hour on bus and skytrain to the concert just to found out it was cancelled.
    Would of been my first concert. Pissed off at lil wayne right now. He better add Vancouver to the end of the tour, this is such bull

  18. dey knew dey was gonna cancel da show cus wayne dont want dem 2 search da bus at da border (drug related issues).. cus it hapend b4.. n 4 a heads up wayne dosnt take da bus anymo.. he flies to every show n catches the bus from hotel to concert vica-versa
