The Alchemist Denies $350K Lil Wayne Song

The Alchemist has denied claims of making $350,000 for a track which was featured on Lil Wayne‘s Grammy-winning album Tha Carter III.


Despite making the claim earlier this month, Al said he was only joking about the big payoff.

“I can’t front, I was lying,” Al explained in an interview. “Because the truth is they really paid me $1.5 mil but $750 was the first half. [laughs] Nah, you know what it is? It amazed me, maybe I should have said they paid me $5 mil in like, pounds, like in a sack. I should have said they dropped off a sack of English pounds, like you know, the coins? Like ‘Yeah they dropped off a $5 million sack of coins.’ I was joking. I guess $350 [thousand] was believable? Jesus Christ. No, I don’t get paid $350,000 to do a beat.”
