Young Money's Every Girl Being Boycotted
“NEW WEBSITE CREATED TO RALLY PARENTS, WOMEN, & FAITH COMMUNITY TO REQUEST RADIO STATIONS CEASE PLAYING RAP SONG”
It seems the backlash from last week’s performance by hip hop artists Lil Wayne and Drake at the 2009 BET Awards has yet to end. IAMNOTEVERYGIRL.COM, a newly created website, has sparked a campaign to remove the song from radio airplay.
The website provides information how supporters can call, write, or leverage various social media platforms (like Facebook and Twitter) to request that radio stations consider removing or drastically limiting the song’s airplay to late night hours. Through efforts like ‘Call Mondays’, ‘Write Wednesdays’, or ‘Tweet Fridays’, IAMNOTEVERYGIRL.COM will continue throughout the month of July to help bring awareness to this cause.
While many believe the website seeks to degrade or demoralize hip hop music and its artists, Milan Ford, the website’s creator, says that is not the goal. “IAMNOTEVERYGIRL.COM has been created to be a strategic tool for parents, women, and the faith community as a whole, to demonstrate to our nation’s entertainment industry the passion we have to protect the hearts and minds of this generation.”
“Lil Wayne is our brother,” Ford adds, “who is a dynamic young man with a talent that is unquestionable. But as a husband and father of two girls, the message and explicit lyrics of this song are indeed questionable, and is deserving of our disapproval.”
While “Every Girl,” currently a Billboard Top 20 single, is receiving airplay on radio stations across the nation, Ford says that the focus of the site’s campaign will be targeted on those stations located or broadcasting to the city and surrounding cities of Atlanta, Georgia.
“We are after CONCENTRATED volume,” Ford states on the website. “By focusing on just one city, we are able to build and provide a proven model for thousands across the nation to implement successfully within their respective cities.”
Ford says that plans are now underway for the site to help raise funds to benefit several non-profit organizations in Atlanta who are fighting sex trafficking within the city.
“We believe our cause is directly linked to their cause,” says Ford.

I believe the Drake and Lil Wayne performance at the BET Awards was in poor taste. However, to boycott one song, when there are far worst songs that have been made by other artists. That is silly. I believe parents should control what their children are listening to. I personally love Lil Wayne so to censor my ears when I am an adult (25+), is taking away my right to listen to what I want to listen to.
This IS What I Put On IAMNOTEVERYGIRL.COM website!
Alright People, I Saw This link on Lil Wayne website today. There are far worse songs on the internet worst than Every Girl and this is coming from a young person’s stand point. I’ve Heard The Song and I have it on my ipod, but what I’m wondering is why do you want to stop radio stations from playing a song that has already hit the top of the charts. It also makes me wonder what made the older generation listen to the song in the first place. This isn’t the first song talking about sex. Its been in every generation. From Teddy Pendergrass “Close The Door” to Barry Whites “Its Ecstasy When You Lay Down With Me” and those songs are like Lil wayne’s Every Girl. All I am trying to say is there are songs far worse and hits come and go!
2 many people like dis song so really those people are jus wasting their time. If u dont like the song then change the station or sumthn u dont have 2 listen 2 it.
they just there time
they just wasting there time
You can’t knock’em. They aren’t saying they are against Lil Wayne, they just don’t think the song should be in rotation on the airwaves. Can’t be mad at that. It’s one thing to say that we as adults can turn the channel, but more than likely, our kids won’t. Nothing wrong with trying to keep them kids for as long as we can.
if the song is a top 20 single then nobody has the right to try to get radiostations to not play it.. its like an election.. obviously the people like it if its top 20 so radiostations are gonna play it
The BET Awards (2009) is what I heard the FCC is investigating the show and California law enforcement got the parents, including Weezy, about the little girls “twerking” on stage during the show! T.I.’s daughter was up there too and some other people’s daughters. I didn’t see the show but people who did told me. SEXUALITY in 9, 10, 11 and 12 year old gilrs is CRAZY!! Like the First Lady, Michell Obama, is frowning at this. Crack Open a Book, Get off the Phone and get a Ph.D. WITHOUT babies and living a stripper/promiscuous life!!! Now you tell me, do little Black children need to learn the value of their bodies from SOMEBODY, ANYBODY, if their parents won’t teach them? I have supported these “artists” with my hard-earned money for concerts and cd’s. That day is OVER. Period.
I am only 14 years old but i dont go around repeating what i here and lil wayne is my favorite artist of all time and i think its stupid and pointless for them to boycott this song when theres worst songs out there. I agree parents should control what there kids listen to. And if they dont like the song they can change the station. They dont got to listen to it. They are being silly.
Jessica, this is not about listening to a song. You appear to be a bright young women and outspoken young lady. Like you, Lil Wayne is one of my favorite artist also, BUT when I saw young girls up there dancing to that song, I found that odd that Wayne would have his child dancing to a song that indicates what he would like to do sexually to someone, that’s not cool, I have lost my respect for him as a man, never mind the music. Although I like Weezy as an artists, who YOU, his children, and other women will grow up and become is far more important to me. Your self-worth and value is more important. You may not act out the behavior’s you see him portraying, but its a seed that does not need to be sown into your mind or anyone elses, so because of that I am willing to take a stand. Anyone can change the station but real men and women can change society. I hope u understand. We shouldn’t defend b.s., we are worth much more that’s all I AM NOT EVERY GIRL is saying. Have a good day.
Why doesn’t everyone just leave Lil Wayne alone? He’s a rap star, he can do whatever he wants. Those kids chose to be up there, what was Wayne going to do about it when it was a last minute thing? And as for this stupid i am not every girl website, people need to get a life and worry about things that are way more important. If you have a problem with the song; don’t listen to it. There are so many other things in the world right now for parents to worry about besides one Lil Wayne song. If you don’t want your kids listening to it then don’t let them! I’m 15 and I don’t see anything wrong with the song. It seems like a lot of other people think the same way; being as the song is top on the charts.
Me, f#$k wat any of yall have to say. f#@k the boycott. and everthing. lil wayne is the best rapper alive and thats it. it shouldn’t matter what song he makes. and y r yall just talkin bout dis, dis shit started a fuckin week ago. what bout lollipop that song is closer to EVERY GIRL
it seems to me like nobody really read any of the articles about his performance. because if you had than you would all know that the girls that came on stage were his daughter and her friends..she begged her dad to let her come out because she was sitting to far back to go up and accept his award with him.i also think that boycotting one song is stupid. people have so many problems with wayne because he doesnt care about what people think. and honestly even if this is successful its not going to stop kids from playing it in there cars, on there ipods,at parties,or even singing it in the streets.so i personally say let this i am not every girl website have their moment because no matter what waynes music isn’t going to be suppressed.lol.so let the haters hate.
Shit is fckin crazy. Just cuz u hear it on a song dont mean u gonna fck everyone in the world. The song says they wanna fck everygirl in the world. It doesnt say, “Hey kids, fuck everyone in sight”. At the end of the video it even says, “not every girl”. The damn CDs have Parental Advisory, Explicit Lyrics. If you wanna be a psychopath about it, monitor ur kid. I know i listen to that music and it doesnt affect me in anyway. Yea i get horny, but thats fckin normal. Dont mean imma dick down every girl i see.
And on the radio they even have the nerve to question Drake’s decision to sign wit young money.
Let’s take violence off of the tv too, because young kids that see it are going to start murdering people. Probably after they try to “f” every girl in the world. People need to realize that the main thing children and young adults learn from are their PARENTS. If you feel your son/daughter is acting up and behaving in ways that you do not approve, look in the mirror and get to the real problem. BE A GOOD PARENT AND YOU WONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT STUFF LIKE THIS. Simple.
Here’s something for the older generation.IF YOU DON’T LIKE THE SONG THEN DON’T LISTEN TO IT!!!!! PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!
obviously on the radio its not say the f word so who gives a shit..what about that gay ass song disco stick or like birthday sex there are so many songs out there that could be taken of the radio but just cause its wayne they make a fuckin website for ONE of his songs..rediculous
every girl is one of my favorite songs
BUT
it jus doesnt sound right on the radio being that every other word is bleeped out, but hey i listen to it every day on my ipod, so to me it realy doesnt matter if its not on the radio or if other pepole dont like the song, i think its a great song, other people think its a great song too
I think this is bull shit and they need to leave them alone! one song omg! its not like they play the cusing parts on the radio they block it out and everyone loves that song even my mom sings it and shes white! and my dad his black and he sings it….. they need to give him a break!
i love that song!!!!
I believe if u got a fucking problem wit this song ur ridick.. look at some of them like “play” by david banner which is much worse of a song and they played it on the radio when it came out.. fuck all u people who hatin on wayne thas all i got to say
hey to the concerned parent up above.. stop hatgin he had his daughter on stage bc he is a good parent and she wanted to go out wit him.. she was jus dancing nuttin was meant sexually about it.. and jus bc it was to this song dont mean waynes exposing young girls at their age so get a life and wry about something else bitch alright..
it dnt make since 2 take it off da radio cuz it is already censored on da radio…
dey need 2 stop trippin
the lyrics r not explicit on the radio
if they dont want their children listenin 2 it den turn 2 radiodisney or sumthin n let us ppl dat want 2 listen 2 it do so
aint nobody stoppin dem from turnin the radio station
HELLO ITS CALLED A RADIO EDIT DAM WHAT MORE DO THEY WANT SMH WATEVER

If you do not like this song, or any song that is on the radio, TURN IT OFF! This is America and we can play whatever music we want! Young Money and Lil Wayne have the right to make whatever music they want and the radio stations have the right to play whatever they want within reason.
Akon made a song called “i wanna F*&k you” that was played every 3 minutes on the radio for months on end, and on top of that got caught up for messin around with a teenage girl at a club…where were you then?….So what I see here are selective haters who HATE whos on top. Live and let live people Im out. Wayne keep doin you
Wow! I am a supporter of the website because I believe enough is enough! I am a college student and I’m tired of people thinking it’s appropriate to degrade women. As girls, young ladies, women, we need to respect ourselves and let men know that we are not just some object that you can do whatever you want to do to them. I also think people are confused about the website. This is not a website to bash music artist! This is an opportunity for us to look at ourselves and realize the music that is being played is affecting our youth, our community, our family! Thanks and God Bless! ~Live Different! Live Loud!~
this song is more then just sexually subliminal
hes talking about possession
and a ritual to be possessed
its all about dreams
he shows devotion to the devil by saying
“i like a long haired thick red bone”
then theres a point in the song where the entity or “spirit”
is talking
when he makes himself look good to it by saying
“girl i got that dope dick now come here let me dope you you gon be a dope fiend your friends should call you dopey tell em keep my name out they mouth if they dont know me”
then his voice changes
and says
HAAAA
like the entity liked it
“but ya can call me toonchy”
one of the names of the demon lil wayne likes to use alot
even in his other song
playing with fire
STILL TOONCHY
so anyways then its the entity talking to young money
saying ide fuck the whole group baby im a groupie
like evryone caN be possessed by me
and the way of possession is seeing these girls in a dream and having sex with them
why do you think he talks about sex so much
then the entity tells lil wayne
“but anyways i think your bionic and i dont think your beautiful i think your bionic”
so this demon thinks lil wayne is past beautiful because he knows so much about the rituals and everything
then later in the song when drakes voice changes he says
“i would fuck wit all yall all of yall are beautiful, i just cant pick one so you could never say im choosen hoes”
so thats the entity talking to young money
sayingt all yall are beautiful but lil wayns BIONIC
theres just a little taste
so yea this song is basically about devil worshipping and a new ritual of possession br4ought into this world
hahahahahahahaha songs about gettin it! And subliminal, by you obviously doin tooooo much with your analysis, I can clearly see that you yourself DONT “get it”. Sounds to me like if he called the song “every woman” we wouldnt be having this conversation. Oh and get a life, cause waynes just doin him. Maybe you could learn somethin instead of hatin. HATER!
ok well im only fourteen, and i don’t get influenced! some do and some don’t. and what about birthday sex? they play it all the time. and i see people at my high school grinding to it. why don’t they get that song off the radio? and why lil wayne? what the fuck?! you think every girl is bad then damn you should come to my neighborhood. you’ll see little girls having sex all the time. things like that are always happening. sometimes you just gotta let it. don’t try to fucking take a song of the radio. i mean, have you ever heard of ipods? kids can get them any other way. then hell, why don’t you get every dirty song ever made off the internet, radios, stores, etc. either way, they can get them. radios not even close to a big deal these days. the point is taking a song off the internet won’t do much, there’s tons of nastier songs out there, kids have ways of still getting them, and if you really have a problem then GET OVER IT AND CHANGE THE FUCKING STATION ALREADY! i love wayne since he was in the hot boyz. i was like what 10 at that time? and he always talked about really bad things, and i didn’t get influenced. i got over it. THAT’S WHAT YOU ALL NEED TO DO!!!
Subliminal….Are you serious? I laughed out loud.
Look, Im 12 YES 12 . And I don’t think the sonq should be tooken off the radio…because like the person waaaay above said “Akon made a sonq sayin ‘I wanna f**k you’ and where were you then” they played that sonq alll the time . My dad and mom would just chanqe the station and THATS ALL YOU NEED TO DO ! Stop boycottinq aqainst him for somethinq like this…and I understand all you people think he shouldnt of made that sonq or whatever but it’s not like he can actually travel around the world and f**k every qirl in the world so qet a qrip !
And the sonq was bleeped out ! And they both are !
I am a 19 year old sophomore student in college. Recently in my Free Speech class, we were given an assignment to find a situation where someone’s First Amendment was being violated. I automatically thought of Wayne. I do understand where parents may be concerned about what their child may be listening to, however, I do feel that it is in the control of the parent to monitor what type of music that is. Children have a mind on their own. Yes, parents worry about their child’s safety and influence, but I feel that the proper guidance that should be instilled during the early ages will reflect a child’s behavior. Not any one song can completely change what a child has already been taught to do and not do. Furthurmore, the radio version of the song is censored and way better to that of the explicit version. Wouldn’t you rather a child guess what an artist is talking about instead of hearing what he/she may actually be saying? If nothing else, make sure that your child does not receive the explicit version of CD’s. Music will forever be a part of our lives…always has, always will…
at the awards he said he wish he can LOVE every girl in the world
and nas i like wat u said
subliminal masterpiece a long hair thick red bone IS A THICK FEMALE WITH LONG HAIR AND BRIGHT SKIN
I’m a senior and high school and it’s sad to see so many people my age so upset because people with enough common sense disapprove of something someone their age did. YES there are worst songs out that, BUT that does not change the fact the he had PRE-TEENS up there dancing to it. i LOVE the song personally but it was distasteful and in fact disrespectful to mj in my opinion. not everyone my age understands that it’s JUST A SONG some females actually think it’s cute to act that way because “weezy” says it. It’s disgusting. It’s a big deal because he is a HEAVY influence on young african american teenagers and some white teens as well. When he began to wear bapes so did everyone else. he is an icon. Not a role model. There are so many dark skinned females that are pretty but feel bad about themselves because lil wayne has every guy wanting a “long hair thick redbone” It’s not against him it’s just he needs to know that he’s a influence on younger people and he should take better advantage of that by instilling positive messages.
