Lil Wayne thinks the Lakers will be NBA Champs

Lil Wayne had this to say about the NBA Finals:


Just so no one gets it twisted: the Lakers are winning the NBA Finals. Now that KG is out, the C’s aren’t gonna go anywhere, which is a shame. You always like to have the defending champs in there to fight like hell to hold on to their crown. Doc Rivers doesn’t want to believe it. And as competitive as KG is, I can’t imagine even being around him right now — how frustrated he must be because all he wants to do is get out on that court. He’s probably breaking stuff in his house, he’s so mad.

Anyway, so now we’re looking at a Lakers versus Cavaliers final, and that’s going to be amazing. Kobe won’t get the best of LeBron, but the Lakers will get the best of the Cavs. I’ll be rooting for the Lakers, and LeBron already knows that. So it’s not like I’m gonna show up in a Kobe jersey and make ‘Bron Bron cry. He knows I’ve been a Laker fan my whole life so it’s all good. That don’t mean he likes it, but he ain’t gonna cry when he sees me at the games screaming for Paul Gasol and Trevor Ariza.

But LeBron will be OK. He’s gonna win the MVP this year. That will be his consolation prize. Phil Jackson and the Lakers will walk away with more rings, but LeBron will get his trophy.

  1. Lil Wayne , I hate to disagree but I am rooting for the Celtics. Love K.G., R.A.,and P.P. and despite K.G. not playing I still think they have a chance at repeating if not them then I am going for the Cavaliers.

  9. yea i think that chicago can deff beat tha celtics if they can get another win in boston, cuz they can deff beat tha celtics at home.
    but i say that the cavs win it in 6 or 7 games against tha lakers. . . but hey, i cud be wrong, u never know wat can happen it is tha NBA, tha only thing that u know will happen is amazing lol

  13. Waynes got some good points but the lakers arent going to win this year. They are a tough squad especially with Bynum back. But keep in mind Bynum doesnt have any playoff experience and that can have a major effect in the finals. I think this is lebrons year. He’s got a stacked team and he can pull out a trip double like nothing. Lebrons been getting closer and closer every year and allthough lakers are the only team to really beat them at home I dont think thats going to happen during the playoffs when the cleveland crowd is twice as loud and wild.

I beleive that the celtics are going to have to work hard to get to the championship but they can do it. the first game against the bulls could have gone either way. same with the second game. but when boston beat the bulls by 20+ points in the third game it is clear who really wants to win that series. Celtics will beat the bulls.

  15. well i have to say its gonna come down to whether or not dallas beats l.a like theyve been doing to s.a this whole series..so if the mavs beat l.a they go all the way if not wayne will probly have a yellow cup filled with purple drank at the finals lol

  16. No no no I like wayne but the lakers aint no where near the cavaliers they are way better and lebron is way better than kobe physically and all but i think the bulls got a good shot this year
