New Lil Wayne Lawsuit Website Created

After being handed a lawsuit from Cash Money Records for using Lil Wayne on a selection of retail mixtapes, Makin Moves Entertainment has launched an anti-Weezy campaign and website (http://www.lilwaynegonnasueyou.com).


Featuring an Uncle Sam version of Wayne, the site shows videos of people calling out the rapper along with diss songs.

“What’s going on, it’s Blaksmif, the Makin Moves representative,” Blaksmif said in a video from the site. “You know what it is. If you ain’t seen what’s going on, you’ve been under a f*cking rock…It’s still f*ck Cash Money, f*ck Lil Wayne and them n*ggas is kissing each other and that’s that. If Pimp C was alive, you think he’d be f*cking with n*ggas suing n*ggas? Let’s keep it a hundred man.” (LilWayneGonnaSueYou.com)

Makin Moves and other parties were sued by Cash Money earlier this year.

“Plaintiff Cash Money Records Inc., by its attorneys, Goldberg & Rimberg PLLC and The Law Firm of Candance C. Carponter, P.C., for its Complaint against defendant, BCD Music Group, Inc., Tyree C. Simmons a.k.a. DJ Drama, Cinque Productions, Inc., Aphilliates Music Group, Makin Moves Entertainment and Frank Nino,” the suit reads. Filed in New York in February 2009, a jury trial has been demanded with defendants having 35 days to answer the complaint. The suit names mixtape albums Happy Father’s Day, When the North and South Collide, Dedication (Chopped & Screwed), Dedication 2 and Dedication 3. A Cash Money attorney, Candance Carponter, recently broke down the main defendants in the suit.
She confirmed to the authenticity of the documents. Carponter clarified that the lawsuit, stemming from an ongoing case against BCD Music Group, an independent distribution company based in Texas, has not been pushed by Lil Wayne directly, but by his recording home. “BCD claimed the right to sell the music,” Carponter said, noting the contracts the company said it signed with the parties, including Drama. “So we named them in complaints and they have 30 days to answer the charges, based on when they receive the papers.”
Despite DJ Drama being named in the suit, the deejay has said his relationship with Weezy has not changed.

“This is not a case of Lil Wayne vs. DJ Drama,” he wrote in a statement. “Me and Wayne are good. I am confident that this matter will be resolved quickly without harming the relationships between myself, Wayne and Cash Money Records. However, due to the ongoing nature of this litigation I do not wish to make any further comments.”
